Home Anchor ("the app", "we", "us") is a family chore and allowance app built by an independent developer. This page explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and how families — including children using the app — are protected.

Home Anchor is a family-managed app. A parent or guardian creates the household and invites each child by sending them a join code — a child cannot sign up on their own. The parent who creates the household controls what gets collected and can review or remove their child's data at any time by contacting us below.

Information we collect

When you create an account or use the app, we collect:

How we use this information

We use the information above only to run the app's core features: showing tasks and rewards to the right household members, calculating points and balances, sending task and account emails (such as invites and approval confirmations), and sending push notification reminders if you've enabled them.

We do not use your data, or your child's data, for advertising. Home Anchor has no ads and no ad tracking of any kind.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of service providers to run the app, and we only share what each one needs to do its job:

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

Children's privacy

Home Anchor is built for parents to use with their children under direct parental supervision. A child's account can only be created by a parent, who sets up the household and invites the child. We collect only what's needed for the child to use the task and reward features described above — we don't knowingly collect more than that, and the app contains no advertising, in-app purchases, or chat features reaching outside the household.

If you are a parent and want to review, correct, or delete your child's information, contact us at the email below and we'll action it directly.

Data security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest on Google Cloud infrastructure. Access to a household's data is restricted by server-side security rules to members of that household only — no other user can read it.
